Susan Leland and Susan Morency have been friends for nearly twenty years. Both have long-standing connections with Martha’s Vineyard Island. Mrs. Leland has lived on Martha’s Vineyard since 1990, while Ms. Morency’s family has had a summer residence on the island for over fifty years.

Susan M has had a great deal of business experience, having owned an inn in Vermont as well as a floor covering company which offered interior design and decorating services.

Susan L has spent the last several years raising her family and expanding her talents. She is an avid gardener and garden designer as well as an artist who specializes in faux painting, decoupage and interior design. She is an all-around very talented and very creative individual.

These two friends have worked together in the past and felt the time was right to combine Susan M’s business background with Susan L’s creative background and open their dream store: a shop filled with all the things that they love. Every item in Two Susans was hand-picked by the two friends simply because it would be a gift they would love to give or receive. Several of Susan L’s items are on display in the store as well as other island handmade products and items from artists and artisans from both the Vineyard and around the country.
